Alex Newbury

Alex qualified as a solicitor in 1999 and obtained a Masters in Law (LLM) from Leeds Metropolitan University. Since that time Alex has had wide experience of handling divorce and related financial matters, disputes over children, issues surrounding domestic violence and disputes between co-habitees.

Alex is able to give advice and draft agreements to minimise risk of claims following separation such as pre-marital agreements and separation agreements. Alex is currently studying for a Doctorate in Law (PhD) at the University of Sussex, undertaking research into the use of Restorative Justice in the Youth Justice System.

Alex is familiar with the workings of the Court of Protection and advises cases where it becomes necessary to appoint a Receiver in the Court of Protection.
